POULSBO — Cultural Homestay International is looking for host families in the Poulsbo and Kingston areas for short term Japanese students. The students arrive July 25 for about 24 days. They have their own spending money and insurance and can speak some English. They will be attending English class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, at North Kitsap Baptist Church in Poulsbo, and an all-day trip on Thursdays (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.).
Families provide conversation in a real American home, a place to sleep (and can share a room with a host sibling of the same gender), meals and sack lunch for school, support and friendship as your students discovers a new world and themselves along the way.
Families don’t provide spending money or supplies, extensive “showing around,” or anything fancy — we’re going for the genuine American experience. Please consider opening your home to one of these students.
