Impounded vehicle may be connected to double-homicide in East Bremerton

Detectives have served a search warrant at a residence in Port Orchard in connection with the double-homicide investigation at Kariotis Mobile Home Park in Bremerton, Sheriff’s Sgt. Ken Dickinson reported March 31.

PORT ORCHARD — Detectives have served a search warrant at a residence in Port Orchard in connection with the double-homicide investigation at Kariotis Mobile Home Park in Bremerton, Sheriff’s Sgt. Ken Dickinson reported March 31.

“[Detectives] have not disclosed the nature of what was located during the service of the warrant,” Dickinson reported. “Detectives have also impounded a vehicle that they feel is of interest in this investigation. They have been granted and are serving a search warrant on this vehicle this morning.”

Heather Kelso, 29, an employee of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard who had resided at Kariotis Mobile Home Park for three years, and a 2-year-old boy were shot to death in Kelso’s home early March 28. Kelso’s roommate, the mother of the 2-year-old boy, reportedly tried to shield her son from the gunman; she was not injured. A man in the house was shot and airlifed to Harborview Medical Center, where he is being treated for his injuries.
