SHINE — Crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will resume their replacement of worn mechanical components on the Hood Canal Bridge’s drawspan.
The bridge will be closed from 10 p.m. on April 23 and April 24, until 4 a.m. each following day.
Engineers will also conduct structural inspections up to four times during the daytime hours of Tuesday, April 24. The inspections will require short-term closures. Bridge crews will be working to coordinate the closures with scheduled marine vessel passages in order to minimize impacts to motorists, according to WSDOT officials.
