North Kitsap Fire & Rescue investigators believe a fire that damaged a Little Boston Road manufactured home last week may have been intentionally set. Investigators ruled out all possible accidental causes for the Thursday blaze, according to a statement from North Kitsap Fire.

The fire was reported at about 3:40 p.m. in a vacant residence near Little Boston Lane. Little Boston Road was closed for more than an hour while firefighters extinguished the flames. The home sustained significant damage.

Investigators determined electricity was shut off to the home at the time of the fire so it was not possible for heaters or electrical outlets to have sparked the blaze.

“Additional evidence inside the structure points to an intentionally set blaze,” the statement said.
