POULSBO — Jacob Jordal, a member of the Norwegian resistance during World War II who went on a colorful career as a commercial photographer and Merchant Marine, died July 8. He was 90.
A private burial will take place at Poulsbo First Lutheran Church cemetery. He will be interred next to his daughter, Elisabeth.
Jordal was the subject of a front page story in the May 20, 2011 North Kitsap Herald, “‘We had the world behind us’: Poulsbo man remembers the resistance that helped preserve Norwegian independence.”
