All of us at the library wish you a very Happy New Year. We have new programs for adults in 2015 at Kingston Library. One is all about the Northwest Garden and the other focuses on learning a new craft.

Library programs for January include:

Preschool Storytime: Jan. 5, 12, and 26, 10:30 a.m. Start the week by enjoying early literacy fun with books, songs, and rhymes with your preschooler.

Kingston Book Group: Jan. 7, 10-11 a.m. Discussion will be on “Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand,” by Helen Simonson.

Kingston Writers Group: Jan. 13, 6:30 p.m.  Enjoy a friendly, supportive atmosphere to encourage writing.

A Year in the Northwest Garden: Jan. 14, 10 a.m. Gardening in January? We have some ideas and would love to hear yours. Come to the Kingston Library and let’s talk gardens.

STEAM Ahead: Catapults, Jan. 21, 3:30-5 p.m. This monthly program encourages elementary-aged children to explore different areas of STEAM — science, technology, engineering, art and math. This month, design and build a catapult to hit a target! All supplies provided.  Space limited. Call 360-297-3330 to sign up.

Adult Crafternoon-Friendship Bracelets: Jan. 22, 3 p.m. Learn to make colorful friendship bracelets from embroidery floss. This fun, easy project is enjoyable for all ages. Materials provided.

Classics Book Group: Jan. 26, 6:30 p.m. Discussion will be on “The Wind in the Willows,” by Kenneth Grahame.

LITTLE BOSTON LIBRARY EVENTS

Storytimes: Jan. 6, 13, 20, and 27, 10:30 a.m. Come enjoy early literacy fun with books, songs, and rhymes with your preschooler.

Little Boston Book Group: Jan. 7, 12-1 p.m. Discussion will be on “The Round House,” by Louise Erdrich.

Adult Crafternoon: Jan. 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2:30-3:30 p.m. Bring your projects and see our newest craft books.
