Earth Day at Elders Kitchen Garden: April 22, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The garden is located next door to The House of Awakened Culture in Suquamish. Celebrate Earth Day by helping prepare the Elders Kitchen Garden for planting. Raffle prizes and great food. Info: (360) 394-8564.

Earth Day at KiDiMu: April 22, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the museum, 301 Ravine Lane, Bainbridge Island. Celebrate with fun “green” activities and crafts, including “Fun with Junk” and “Oh My Rubbish!” Free with admission or membership. Info: (206) 855-4650 or www.kidimu.org.

Winslow Tree Walk: April 22, 1 p.m. beginning at the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum, 215 Ericksen Ave. Olaf Ribeiro will be the guide  to historic and champion trees of Winslow. This event has been extremely popular in past years. For reservations, call (206) 842-2773. Free for museum members, $3 for non-members.

Kids and teens celebrate Earth Day at the Sylvan Way Library: April 22, 3:30- 5:30 p.m., at 1301 Sylvan Way. Celebrate with crafts, organic snacks, tips for saving the planet and more. For ages 10 and older.

Bainbridge Island Parks and Weed Warriors: April 23, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Pritchard Park. Visit the new Japanese-American Exclusion Memorial and help with weeding in preparation for native plant restoration. Bring: work gloves, garden tools, rain gear, drinking water and good cheer. Mountaineers Earth Day Celebration: April 23, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Rhododendron Preserve, 3153 Seabeck Highway NW, Bremerton. Free admission, with a suggested donation of $15 per family. Concessions available. Organizers suggest wearing sturdy shoes.

Arbor Day Festival at Port Gamble: April 29, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The town of Port Gamble is hosting its first Arbor Day Celebration. Help plant trees and celebrate giving back to the environment. Free admission. Info: (360)-297-8074 or eflood@orminc.com.

EcoFest at Stillwaters: April 30, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., 26059 Barber Cut Off Road, Kingston. Celebrate Earth Day with more than 40 environmental informational booths and entertainment.
