Winslow Tree Walk: April 22, 1 p.m. beginning at the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum, 215 Ericksen Ave. Olaf Ribeiro will be the guide to historic and champion trees of Winslow. Kids and teens celebrate Earth Day at the Sylvan Way Library: April 22, 3:30- 5:30 p.m., at 1301 Sylvan Way. Celebrate with crafts, organic snacks, tips for saving the planet and more. For ages 10 and older.
Bainbridge Island Parks and Weed Warriors: April 23, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Pritchard Park. Visit the new Japanese-American Exclusion Memorial and help with weeding in preparation for native plant restoration. Bring: work gloves, garden tools, rain gear, drinking water and good cheer. Mountaineers Earth Day Celebration: April 23, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Rhododendron Preserve, 3153 Seabeck Highway NW, Bremerton. Free admission, with a suggested donation of $15 per family. Concessions available. Organizers suggest wearing sturdy shoes.
