Members of the Port Orchard Police Department and South Kitsap Fire and Rescue will be collecting donations for the United Way Oso Fund from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, in the parking lot across from City Hall.

Jana Deck, a crime prevention officer with Port Orchard Police, said police and firefighters will be standing by to collect the donations.

A fire truck and patrol cars will be on scene with lights flashing.

“Anyone wishing to donate to the United Way Oso fund will be able drive through the Water Park, across from the City Hall on Bay Street, and donate from the convenience of their vehicle,” Deck said.

Deck said 100 percent of the donations will go directly to the Oso community through United Way.

Tax donation receipts will be available for those who request them, Deck added.
