McCormick Woods Golf Course in Port Orchard will host its “Junior Golf Season Kick-Off” event form 1-3:30 p.m. March 28.

For $10, children, ages 8-18, can experience PGA Junior League Golf and Drive, Chip and Putt programs hands-on through group golf instruction and skills lessons taught by McCormick Woods’ junior golf coaches.

Contest and prizes will also be held and given away throughout the day.

The kick-off is designed to encourage area boys and girls to sign up for the PGA Junior League Golf and Drive, Chip and Putt programs at McCormick Woods — no prior playing experience is required for either program, and the registration fee for the event will go toward the child’s program of choice.
