A 26-year old Port Orchard woman was arrested July 21 for assault after hitting another woman in the head with a beer bottle, according to a Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office report.
KCSO reported the 29-year-old victim, from Olalla, told deputies that Sarah Lynn Beauchamp hit her with the bottle.
Beauchamp was charged with third-degree assault on July 22 in Kitsap County District Court.
Charging papers stated the victim told investigators she met Beauchamp at a gathering and later invited Beauchamp, her children and boyfriend to her home on Olalla Valley Road for drinks.
The victim reported she confronted Beauchamp concerning her daughter’s behavior. The two women began to argue near the kitchen area before Beauchamp struck the victim. The victim said she was hit at least four times before friends intervened, court documents stated.
The victim told deputies Beauchamp fled the scene in a vehicle. Deputies later arrested Beauchamp. Bail was set at $25,000.
