The Kingston Buccaneers have the the edge in shooting and ball handling, the Squalicum Storm have the edge in rebounding and defense. The Kingston Buccaneers have the the edge in shooting and ball handling, the Squalicum Storm have the edge in rebounding and defense.

The two meet Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the Yakima Sundome in the semifinals of the State 2A Boys Basketball Tournament.

The Buccaneers were 16-4 in their fourth regular season; Squalicum, the two-time defending state champ, was 13-7.

A win today and the Buccaneers face either Burlington-Edison or Clover Park on Saturday 9 p.m., for the state title. A loss, and the Buccaneers meet the loser of the Burlington-Edison/Clover Park game for a chance at third, Saturday at 11:15 a.m.
