KINGSTON — The Kingston marina will close to vessel traffic Nov. 19 for surveying for the upcoming dredge project.
The marina and launch ramp will close from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The closure will allow America Construction Company to survey the marina dredging areas. The dredge project is expected to begin Dec. 1. All work in the marina’s waters is expected to be complete by Dec. 24, according to information from the Port of Kingston.
During at least the first week of December, the launch ramp will be closed and its adjacent floating piers relocated.
Dredging in December will limit vessel access in the marina.
Preliminary work for the dredge project began in August, when divers transferred eelgrass from the marina to the north side of the breakwater.
