As officials clear through the backlog after a high volume of tests caused reporting delays, Kitsap Public Health District added six more positive cases to its tally in a 2 p.m. update Thursday.
Kitsap County now has 83 total positive cases against 1,552 negative results. A total of 1,635 residents have been tested for a five percent positive rate.
Five of the six new cases are in Bremerton and the other is on Bainbridge Island.
Of the 83 cases in Kitsap, 23 are in South Kitsap, 19 are in North Kitsap, 19 are in Bremerton, 12 are in Central Kitsap and 10 are on Bainbridge Island.
The age breakdown is as follows:
- 0-19: 4 (5 percent)
- 20-29: 10 (12 percent)
- 30-39: 9 (11 percent)
- 40-49: 19 (23 percent)
- 50-59: 21 (25 percent)
- 60-69: 13 (16 percent)
- 70-79: 5 (6 percent)
- 80+: 2 (2 percent)
