Kitsap Bank adds two new board members

Olympic Bancorp, the parent company of Kitsap Bank added two board members at the annual shareholders meeting recently.

John Hogan and Robert Wise join current board members Cydly Langer Smith, chairwoman; Helen Langer Smith, vice chairwoman; Steve Politakis, president and chief executive officer; Tony George, executive vice president and chief operating officer; Melinda Pigors, director; Wade Perrow, CEO, Wade Perrow Construction; Jeff Swan, president, Evergreen Lumber; Jim Grabicki, principal, Grabicki & Associates;  Robert Mathwig, owner, Family Pancake House; and director emeritus, Dave Gitch, retired president and CEO, Harrison Hospital.

“We are excited to bring these two highly capable and qualified individuals to our Board of Directors,” said Steve Politakis, chief executive officer.  “John and Robert have deep roots in our market and bring extensive industry knowledge in their fields of expertise.”

Hogan is the managing Partner of Gateway Capital, LLC.  They manage over two hundred commercial tenants occupying over 1.5 million square feet in Kitsap, Pierce, King, Lewis and Snohomish counties.  During the past 15 years Hogan has developed over 17 projects throughout the Puget Sound area with total completed value of over $350,000,000.  He developed, owns and operates Uptown Gig Harbor, a premier open air lifestyle shopping center.   He is a native of Gig Harbor, a graduate of Gig Harbor High School and has a bachelor’s degree from Boston College.  He has served on the Gig Harbor Film Festival Advisory Board and the Gig Harbor’s Economic Development Committee.

Wise is senior vice president business development at Opanga Networks, which specializes in high definition video to smart phones and tablets.  He has extensive experience in developing software and specializes in advanced applications for smart phones, voice recognition and network communications.  Wise has been a software executive for more than 20 years.

He has held board positions on public and private companies and is an angel investor.  He also owns Marsh Andersen LLC, a holding company for investments in the marine industry including the Port Hadlock Marina. Wise grew up in Bremerton, graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in computer science and currently resides on Bainbridge Island.

Wise is currently under contract with the Port of Bremerton to market the Bremerton Marina.
