A Threat to kill
A 39-year-old Suquamish man was in Kitsap County Superior Court Aug. 22 facing a charge of harassment domestic violence threat to kill.
He faces five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Bail was set at $50,000.
Kitsap County sheriff’s probable cause papers say on Aug. 21 at 7:55 p.m. a mother called to say her son had threatened to kill her with a gun.
A previous protection order prohibits him from possessing a firearm. The mom also filed a protection order against him that day. The man also said he would kill Gov. Jay Inslee.
Criminal assistance
A 34-year-old Bremerton woman was in Superior Court Aug. 22 facing a charge of first degree rendering criminal assistance.
Bail was set att $50,000. She faces 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
Bremerton police say they responded to an assault with a vehicle Aug. 21 at 3:50 p.m. Police said the assault was intentional and resulted in life-threatening injuries.
After coming up with two suspects, police contacted the mom of one. She was told the victim was run over and being airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She said she would try to contact her daughter.
Instead, the mom picked up the girls at a grandparent’s house and left before law enforcement arrived. When police caught up with the mom she was arrested.
