Veterans, military members and their families packed the pavilion at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds to celebrate Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, March 29.

The free event, hosted by the Silverdale Chamber of Commerce and sponsored in part by Sound Publishing, included an informational fair, plenty of entertainment and fun activities for kids, and speakers from the local civilian and military community. There were plenty of giveaways, drawings for gift baskets and other freebies.
