Kitsap Lake will be closed to the public all day on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22 for the 2011 Kitsap HydroFest, according to a statement from the City of Bremerton Parks and Recreation Department. Kitsap Lake Park will be available for spectator parking but the boat launch will be closed.

The event will feature outboard powered hydroplane and runabout races with boat racers ranging in age from 9 years old to seniors. The race, sponsored by the Seattle Outboard Association, is part of the Annual Armed Forces Festival and is an annual event at the lake.
