Kitsap Mental Health Services opens South Kitsap office

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) announces the opening of an office in Port Orchard that will offer outpatient behavioral health services for adults, children and their families.

BREMERTON – Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) announces the opening of an office in Port Orchard that will offer outpatient behavioral health services for adults, children and their families.

The office, located at 2535 Mitchell Road SE, will be open Monday though Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

An open house is set for Dec. 2, from 4-6 p.m.

The site’s clinical staff will provide brief and longer-term outpatient treatment for individuals who wish to receive their behavioral health care in the South Kitsap area.

“The establishment of the South Kitsap Office is the achievement of a goal that we have been working toward for some time,” KMHS CEO Joe Roszak. “We appreciate the geographic challenge getting to appointments. This new location makes behavioral health care more accessible for people living in the south end of the county.”

For individuals interested in a first appointment, information can be received by calling the KMHS Access Center at 360-405-4010.

Inpatient and emergency care will continue to be provided from the Bremerton campus located at 5455 Almira Dr.

KMHS is a private, non-profit organization and is a primary provider of mental health services for Kitsap County, offering a continuum of care to children, adults and older adults, and their families.

Access to most KMHS services is dependent on Medicaid eligibility or eligibility for other state

funding. Emergency services are available to all regardless of income.
