Kitsap Regional Library has launched several new services to help students find reliable and age appropriate information on the internet.

They are accessible fromwww.krl.org/homework.

Britannica Library offers three levels of access: Children, Young Adults and Reference Center (for adults). It includes three encyclopedias, continually updated journal articles, primary-source material, multimedia and links to 129,000 expert websites.

To support emphasis on science in the classroom, KRL has added a suite of products called PowerKnowledge. These provide authoritative information for geology, astronomy, biology and physics for students in grades 3-6. PowerKnowledge Earth and Space Science, Physical Science and Life Science provide a wealth of information including more than 400 descriptive articles, videos, images and interactive games.

It also has hands-on science fair projects, experiments and activities that accompany each topic.

Improvements have also been made to Novelist, our online resource to help you find your next book. We are introducing NovelistPlus for adults and Novelist-K-8 for younger audiences.

In addition to adding the tools mentioned above, Kitsap Regional Library has also expanded the hours of our free online homework help service, Brainfuse.

Formerly available 4-9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, it is now offered 1-10 p.m. seven days a week.
