The Shoreline lab of the Washington State Department of Health today confirmed eleven additional positive H1N1 tests from Kitsap County, according to Scott Daniels, deputy director of the Kitsap County Health District.
The first case of swine flu was confirmed in an adult Bremerton male earlier this week.
The next two, a “younger” adolescent female from Bremerton and an “older” adolescent male from Silverdale, are both home from school with “mild flu-like symptoms,” Daniels said.
“We are treating this just like any flu,” he added. “Both of them are recovering.”
Daniels said the Silverdale boy is planning to return to school next week following the holiday.
Daniels said there were no details on the other nine cases yet, but they all appeared to be exhibiting the same symptoms.
