On Wednesady, Kitsap Transit announced detours in Silverdale this weekend for Whaling Days.

Street closures will impact Kitsap Transit bus routes starting Friday at 3 p.m. Areas of Old Town Silverdale will close Friday afternoon, affecting Route 35 service.

Silverdale Way and Kitsap Mall Boulevard will be closed for the Whaling Days parade Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kitsap Transit will operate a shuttle approximately every half-hour from the Silverdale Transit Center during the closure on Saturday.
