Kitsap County’s treecycling program began on Dec. 26 and runs through Jan. 15 at the locations listed below during regular business hours.
The recycling and garbage facilities are closed all day on Jan. 1.
County crews will drop off chips at accessible residences near their chipping locations while quantities last.
To get on the “free chips” list, download the form at www.kitsapgov.com/sw or call Kitsap 1 at (360) 337-5777.
Residents are reminded to remove all nails, tinsel, lights, and orna.m.ents before recycling their tree.
Flocked trees cannot be accepted because they are potentially harmful to the environment.
Also, do not bring wreaths or garland.
