Leads holding in council, school board races | 2015 Election

POULSBO — In the latest vote count, incumbent Bill Webb extended his lead over Deborah Simon in the race for North Kitsap School Board, District 5.

As of 5:15 p.m. Nov. 4, Webb led Simon by 163 votes, 3,858 to 3,695.

Glen Robbins leads incumbent Scott Henden by 1,117 votes — 4,666 to 3,549 — for North Kitsap School Board, District 4.

In the lone contested City Council race, incumbent Kenneth Thomas leads Amanda Cheatham by 318 votes, 918 to 600.

The county auditor reports that 28.3 percent of registered voters cast a ballot. While the figure will increase as the remaining votes are tallied, the 2015 election is expected to rival 1987 (39.6 percent) as the lowest voter turnout in the last 30 years.

The county auditor has 12,000 ballots left to count and is expected to update results Nov. 5 at 4:30 p.m.
