Level III sex offender Jeremy David Lelko, 30, is scheduled to be released from prison Friday, July 3 after having been incarcerated with the Washington State Department of Corrections since August 2000.
Lelko has registered with the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office as a transient with no fixed address. As a transient, he is required to check in with the sheriff’s office once a week.
“(Lelko’s) previous criminal history places him in a classification level that reflects the potential to re-offend,” Kitsap County Sheriff Steve Boyer stated in a news release.
Lelko was convicted of third-degree child molestation in 1998 after having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl, according to court documents. In 2000, he was convicted of first- and second-degree child molestation after sexually assaulting two 7-year-old girls and a 9-year-old girl. The victims were known to Lelko.
As a juvenile, he was convicted of burglary and possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcoholic intoxicants, according to KCSO.
Lelko was charged with numerous infractions in prison and refused to participate in sex offender treatment.
Because Lelko is a transient, no community meeting is scheduled.
