Driver intentionally hits car head-on

A Bremerton woman, 32, was arrested on probable cause after causing a deliberate car accident on Central Valley Road. The Bremerton woman and another female with a history of physical and verbal confrontations met again on July 3. After Shannon Kuhnhenn broke it off with her boyfriend, she went to the residence where she lived with him to pick up her belongings. Kuhnhenn  found Kirsten Pacheco at the residence with Kuhnhenn’s ex- boyfriend. On her way out, Kuhnhenn threw a brick through Pacheco’s windshield before driving off. Pacheco followed the woman in her car, and swerved across a median to slam into Kuhnhenn’s car. She then exited her car with a black club, walking toward Kuhnhenn’s car, where a 1-year-old child sat in the back seat. The car was reversed before Pacheco could reach the car, and Pacheco returned to her car for belongings before taking off on foot. Witnesses snapped the woman’s photo as she walked away from the crash. On July 9, she was arrested and held for a DOC warrant. She admitted to the crash and the hit and run, but said that her car had a “mechanical malfunction which forced her to steer toward Shannon’s vehicle,” states Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office probable cause reports.

Felon arrested for loaded gun possession

A 19-year-old convicted felon was arrested after a loaded gun was found in the car he was riding in. On July 11, a Bremerton Police officer stopped a vehicle on Kitsap Way and arrested the driver with a felony warrant. After the driver consented to have an officer search his vehicle, a loaded .22 caliber firearm tucked under the front seat was discovered. The driver of the vehicle admitted that the gun had been in the glove box. The passenger left the scene and was arrested after being located down the street. The Bremerton felon said he did take the gun from the glove box and placed it under the seat because “he did not want to get in trouble for the gun being near him,” according to BPD certificate of probable cause. He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree. Bail was set at $100,000.

Woman under the influence of four drugs arrested for DUI

A Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputy arrested a Silverdale woman who was reported as a suspected DUI driver leaving 7-11 on July 13. The woman, 21, driving a 2010 Chevy Camaro, was contacted by KCSO in the parking lot of the Silverdale Beach Hotel. The deputy speaking to her noted she seemed to be under the influence of drugs. The female admitted to using methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and Xanax all within a few hours. After performing poorly on several field sobriety tests, she agreed to a search of her car and purse. The Silverdale woman was booked into county jail for VUCSA of heroin, methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI. Her bail was set at $40,000.
