Thief comes back for more after warning
A Bremerton man given trespassing warnings from Walmart twice this year came back for a third time on Aug. 16. Port Orchard deputies responded to a call of a shoplifter in custody at Walmart who had been previously received two warnings. After selecting and concealing numerous items in his jacket, the man paid for only a soda before attempting to leave the store with stolen items totaling $78.90, state charging documents. He was booked for second-degree burglary and his bail was set at $10,000.
Sex offender fails to register with county
A warrant has been issued for 23-year-old Donovan Jessie Blanco for failure to register as a sex offender, according to recent probable cause documents. In 2011, he was convicted for child molestation in the third degree, a class C felony. As a sex offender, he is required to register each time he moves to a new address and must report his whereabouts if transient. As of July 16, his mother and sister were unaware of his whereabouts when questioned by authorities. According to a probable cause statement, he is a Level Two sex offender and has two previous convictions for failure to register.
Husband arrested for domestic violence
A Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a domestic violence call in Silverdale on Aug. 18. A female reported that her husband, who she is separated from, showed up at her apartment unannounced. The couple had been married for 11 months, according to KCSO probably cause documents. After letting her husband inside, he took a few beers out of the fridge and started drinking one. When the wife made a comment about the drinking, he “splashed beer” on her and then picked up her laptop and threw it against a door. The 34 year old then picked up a motorcycle helmet and swung it at her and missed. While on the phone with 911, the husband hit her again and then took off on his motorcycle. He was found at his parent’s house and was arrested on an assault four domestic violence charge and malicious mischief in the third degree, domestic violence.
Car thief leaves note, “Don’t freak out”
A local business owner recently woke up to find his car and a friend who spent the night were missing from his home, along with $450 cash. A note reading, “Don’t freak out, trust me. Call me if I am not already back,” was left for the car owner. The next morning, the woman drove back to pick up her dog from the man she stole the car from and took off in the car when its owner came out to confront her. A Bremerton Police Department incident report stated that the woman, Amie Gilberston, was in the car with her “armed career criminal” boyfriend when she took off again with the car. The car owner asked that the vehicle not be impounded, but it can be searched. As of July 14, a “be on the lookout” for the vehicle has been broadcasted for the 1995 Black Honda Civic with license plate number AKE1012.
