Litter of puppies die in RV fire in Poulsbo

A four-day-old litter of puppies died after an RV caught fire and was completely destroyed in Poulsbo Oct. 24.

Firefighters arrived to find a fully involved RV parked adjacent to a house at the intersection of Viking Way and Sherman Hill Road, with fire extending into the home, a Poulsbo Fire Department news release states. Crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire.

Three adult men live on the property: one resided in the RV while the other two lived in the home. All three are now displaced, and the Red Cross has been contacted for assistance. The home was not insured.

Units from Navy Region Northwest, North Kitsap Fire & Rescue, Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue, and Bremerton Fire responded.
