Local students earn honor roll, scholarships

Sean P. O’Malia, Sarah R. Van Cleave and Rebecca Savinski of Poulsbo earn academic honors

O’Malia makes honor roll at Oregon State
CORVALLIS, Ore. — Sean P. O’Malia of Poulsbo earned placement on the winter term honor roll at Oregon State University.

O’Malia achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or better and carried at least 12 graded hours of course work to earn placement on the roll. He is a junior majoring in Pre-Electrical and Computer Engineering.

More honors for Van Cleave at Phillips Exeter
EXETER, N.H. — Sarah R. Van Cleave, grade 12, earned highest honors for the winter 2013 term at Phillips Exeter Academy.

Sarah is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy W. Van Cleave of Poulsbo.

Savinski receives EWU scholarship
CHENEY — Rebecca Savinski has been awarded a Presidential Scholarship for $3,000 for the 2013-14 year at Eastern Washington University.

Rebecca will graduate in June from North Kitsap High School, where she lettered all four years in band. She plans to study marine biology and music at EWU.

Rebecca is the daughter of James and Beverly Savinski of Poulsbo.
