Magnolia neighborhood without annual Halloween Alley because of Poulsbo burglary

POULSBO — A burglary in Poulsbo is ruining Halloween for the Magnolia neighborhood in Seattle.

Halloween Alley, a 12-year-old tradition for Magnolia realtor Carol Ard and her family and neighbors, will not happen this year. Items used in the Viewmont Way attraction were allegedly stolen from a small farmhouse in Poulsbo where they are stored, according to a story by Steven Smalley of MagnoliaVoice.com.

Ard and her husband own the farmhouse and stored all the props and costumes there that they use in the Halloween attraction, according to Magnolia Voice. The items were “specialty objects” collected “over years,” according to the online news blog. “I’m so done,” Ard told the Magnolia Voice. “These [thieves] are going to get away with it. They never find anything. No one ever gets caught.”

In addition to Halloween decorations and inflatable props, thieves allegedly stole a tractor, washer and dryer, and dining room table.
