POULSBO — One person was injured in a two-car collision at State Route 307 and Foss Road, two miles northeast of Poulsbo, late Feb. 14.
Washington State Patrol reported that Zachariah E. Silkett, 37, of Poulsbo, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with injuries. He is suspected of driving while under the influence.
The crash occurred at about 10:25 p.m. Washington State Patrol said Silkett was driving eastbound on Foss Road, failed to stop at the stop sign and turned left in front of another vehicle. That vehicle, a 2008 Dodge Caravan van, struck Silkett’s 1995 Honda Prelude on the driver’s side.
Silkett’s passenger, a 44-year-old woman from Kingston, was not injured. The driver of the van, a 48-year-old Poulsbo man, and his two passengers were not injured, Washington State Patrol reported.
The collision fully blocked the roadway for 3 hours and 35 minutes.
