POULSBO — One man has been arrested, while another is still at large, for the robbery at gunpoint in a Poulsbo home.

Jacob Lewis Dubek, 29, of Bremerton, was charged with first degree robbery in Kitsap County District Court.

Dubek was identified by the victims of the robbery as they were skimming photographs of friends on Facebook, after the incident on the evening of April 20. Another man was discovered on Facebook as the second robber; A warrant has been issued for the robber.

Authorities were notified of a household being held against its will at gunpoint after a victim called 911. The call came in while the robbers were fleeing the scene at 11:05 p.m. on April 20. Deputies with the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call.

Witnesses to the incident told deputies that three people were playing Wii video games inside the living room of a home on Tagholm Road in Poulsbo, bordering Keyport. Two men suddenly entered the home with handguns and asked, “Where’s the money?” The short man stayed at the front door and attempted to block view of his face with his handgun. The taller man then asked where a certain resident of the home was. He was referred to a bedroom down the hallway.

The man then went to the bedroom, kicked the door in and found the resident watching TV. The tall man said, “Give me all your money,” while pointing his gun at the resident. The resident gave the robber $800 cash. The tall man searched the room, then slapped the resident across the face, instructing him to give him more money. The tall man then took a watch, cell phone and some keys before running out of the room, through the front door with his alleged accomplice, and away from the home.

The resident followed on foot, hoping to see a license plate number or any information that could identify the robbers. But one robber turned around and sprayed the resident with pepper spray, stopping him in his tracks.

The two robbers reportedly entered a small Honda with a rear spoiler and drove away from the home, traveling south on Brownsville Highway.

Witnesses described one robber as 6’2″, around 230 pounds, in his mid-30s, and wearing a gray sweatshirt, according to a Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office report on the incident. The other robber was described at 5’11”, and 200 pounds. Both were described as having olive complexion with “big roundish heads,” according to the report.

Deputies asked the resident why he would be targeted for a robbery. The resident reportedly said that the robbery could have happened because of drug dealing he was involved with in the past.

In the days after the robbery, the witnesses and victims searched Facebook, following connections with their friends and their online photographs and spotted Dubek. The victims reportedly told deputies that Dubek is “100 percent” the taller robber from the incident.

They also spotted another man and identified him as the smaller robber, but the suspect has yet to be arrested.

Dubek is currently in the Kitsap County Jail. Bail has been set at $100,000.
