An 18-year-old East Bremerton man was arrested March 21 for stealing and attempting to sell a webcam from Walmart.
Kitsap County sheriff’s deputies were called to the Walmart on State Highway 303 in East Bremerton at 10:59 a.m. on reports of a theft, according to reports from the sheriff’s office. The suspect was last seen running into the woods north of the Tele-Tech building. One deputy found the 18-year-old man coming out of a wooded area carrying a black backpack. The man admitted to stealing the webcam so he could sell it for cash and said he threw the camera in some bushes while running away from the store. The webcam was valued at about $75.
The man was taken to Kitsap County jail for investigation of selling stolen property and theft.
