Bail was set at $250,000 for a 69-year-old Woodland man who was in Kitsap County Superior Court March 13 facing two charges of rape of a child.
He was arrested on a warrant from 2021. He faces life in prison and $50,000 in fines on each charge.
Court papers say a State Patrol detective in 2019 created a phony undercover ad on a social media dating application saying a mother was seeking to have her daughters ages 13 and 11 sexually exploited. The suspect responded and said he had experience teaching girls as young as 17. He sent a photo of his penis.
Texts continued for weeks before a location was set up in Kitsap County. He was arrested when he arrived at the house. He made a not guilty plea. He had dozens of court appearances for various reasons until 2021, when he failed to appear in court. A warrant was issued, and he was finally arrested March 10 in Clark County.

A 23-year-old Port Orchard woman was in Superior Court March 14 charged with assaulting a toddler who had rib fractures.
She faces 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
Court documents say Port Orchard police received a call from a social worker at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma. The suspect was arrested March 13 at 7:50 a.m. in the 1800 block of Sidney Ave.
The woman said the bruising on the toddler’s face was caused by an “Elmo” toy he hit himself in the face with, but later admitted to “bopping” him on the head. A doctor said the rib injury could have been caused by squeezing, which the mom also later admitted to. She later said the toddler was screaming, and she wanted him to go to sleep. She said she has had trouble sleeping since she was 6 months pregnant.

A 42-year-old Oregon City man was arrested on a 2023 warrant and faced three charges in Superior Court March 13.
Bail was $150,000. Charges are incest (10 years in prison, $20,000 fine maximum); rape of a child (five years, $10,000 fine); and child molestation (life in prison, $50,000 fine.)
Court documents show Bremerton police on Aug. 8, 2023 contacted police in Gresham, OR, regarding a girl being sexually assaulted by her dad in Bremerton when she was 14 and a freshman in high school. The abuse continued when they moved to Oregon.
The abuse began after the dad divorced his wife. He gave her alcohol one night, and he touched her. Another night he again gave her alcohol and had sex with her even though she said, “No.”
The man in 2016 was charged with child molestation of a friend of his daughter’s, but he was able to plea to assault with sexual motivation. The dad was able to pass a polygraph and psychosexual evaluation on general questions about sexual contact with juveniles, even though he was having relations with his daughter at the time. He groomed his daughter to think the relationship was normal. When she graduated from high school and started a life of her own she realized it was criminal.

A 43-year-old Poulsbo man was in Superior Court March 14 charged with residential burglary arrested on a warrant from March 11.
Bail was $100,000. He faces 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
Court papers show Kitsap deputies assisted in a pursuit coming from Pierce County. Air support said the suspect bailed from his vehicle and on was on foot on Helena Trail SW. The victim came out of a house waving his hands in the air saying the suspect was inside.
The victim said he was sitting in his living room and the suspect came in through the back and fell on the ground gasping for air. The victim said he was scared and yelled for him to leave. The suspect said he would pay the victim $1,000 if he could hide from the cops there.

A 29-year-old Auburn man was arrested on a warrant and was in Superior Court March 13 facing charges of attempting to elude and violation of a court order.
Bail was $100,000. He faces 10 years in prison and $20,000 in fines.
Court papers show Bremerton police were talking to the suspect Dec. 10, 2024 at 9:06 a.m. when he got into a car and took off at a high rate of speed. A woman passenger in the car had a protection order against him. Police followed as the suspect drove recklessly. The chase ended when it became unsafe to pursue the vehicle. Officers were unable to find him. He was recently arrested.

A 34-year-old Bremerton man who sold fentanyl to an informant was in Superior Court March 12 charged with delivery of a controlled substance.
Bail was $75,000. He faces 10 years in prison and from $1,000-$25,000 in fines, depending on the amount of drugs.
Court records show Bremerton police arrested the suspect at 9:30 a.m. March 11. Earlier they used a confidential informant to buy $40 in fentanyl from the suspect as they watched. He was observed making another sale on Bremerton streets March 11. An officer struggled with the suspect trying to make an arrest, so other officers helped.
The suspect had 90 fentanyl pills, 12 tin foil bindles of fentanyl, 20 baggies of meth, a scale and two containers with a total of 54.6 grams of fentanyl.

A 44-year-old Belfair woman was in Superior Court March 12 charged with delivery of meth.
Bail was $50,000. She faces 10 years in prison and a fine from $1,000 to $25,000, depending on the amount of drugs.
Court papers show the suspect was arrested March 11 at 9:30 a.m. Bremerton police used a confidential informant to use BPD funds to buy $20 in meth. Police observed the buy and arrested the suspect.

A 31-year-old Bremerton man was in Superior Court March 13 arrested on a warrant from 2023 with possession with intent to deliver meth.
Bail was $50,000. He faces 10 years in prison and from $1,000 to $100,000 in fines, depending on the amount of drugs.
Court documents say Bremerton police responded Aug. 19, 2023 to the 800 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Way at 1:18 a.m. An officer on foot was observing tents and saw two men using drugs. One hid a baggie between his legs as officers approached with flashlights. Both ended up possessing meth and fentanyl. Each had about $275.
After numerous court appearances a warrant was issued March 7 and the suspect arrested March 12.

A 56-year-old Bremerton man was in Superior Court March 12 charged with identity theft.
Bail was $70,000. He faces five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Court documents say the victim lost his wallet March 8 near the 7-11 on 6th Street. Fraud charges started to sppear March 9 on his bank statement. Someone had spent almost $358 at the Safeway on Callow Avenue. Security footage shows the suspect buying a $350 VISA gift card.
During the arrest, police found 10.8 grams of fentanyl in the form of large white rocks. It looked like the rocks were to be broken down and sold in small baggies. He also had almost $700 in cash.
