A 31-year-old man was hospitalized with critical injuries Aug. 22 after being stabbed in the back and slashed with a knife. The man was involved in a confrontation with an assailant over money for a sexual act.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday at a home in the 2600 block of Converse Ave. SE in South Kitsap.
The female suspect, Destiny Hope Johnson of Central Kitsap, is 21 years old. Johnson left the scene of the attack and hasn’t been located.
She is described as being 5-8, 150 pounds, having brown eyes and having long blonde hair down to the middle of her back. She was last seen wearing a white and black shirt and tight leather pants.
Kitsap County Sheriff’s patrol deputies, assisted by Port Orchard Police, arrived at the house at 3:12 a.m. and found the man on the front porch lying on his back and clutching a towel, according to Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Wilson. South Kitsap Fire and Rescue transported the victim to St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma. He suffered a “significant stab wound to his back and a laceration to his hand,” Wilson said.
As of Aug. 26, the victim remains in critical condition.
The disagreement between the victim and Johnson began over a disagreement over money that was exchanged for sexual activity. A “date” was arranged with the woman through the website backpage.com. When the man demanded Johnson return his money, Sheriff’s Office spokesman, Deputy Scott Wilson, said the argument quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, and the man was stabbed.
Sheriff’s deputies are continuing their investigation.Anyone with information about Destiny Hope Johnson is asked to contact Detective Jennifer Rice at 360-337-5616.
