A 21-year-old man was reportedly threatened with a gun on Illahee Road June 22, along with his girlfriend and father, after he followed two males in a car, defending his girlfriend’s honor.
The man and his 19-year-old girlfriend were at the Chevron station at Perry Avenue and Riddell Road at about 11 p.m. when two males started making lewd comments to the woman about “tapp’n that,” according to Kitsap County Sheriff’s reports. When the couple left and drove away, the two males got into a black Honda Civic with gold rims and sped after them.
The 21-year-old man pulled over to let the Civic pass and then followed the car to get a license plate. The Civic then slammed on the breaks and one of the occupants jumped out of the vehicle, threatening to shoot the couple. The woman called her boyfriend’s 47-year-old father, who found and followed the two vehicles when they continued down the road.
The Civic pulled into a driveway on Illahee Raod, with the 21-year-old and his father stopping behind it. When one of the males in the Civic came out and pointed a silver handgun at them, everyone left.
Sheriff’s deputies were unable to locate the Civic or its occupants.
