Lieutenant Peter Fisher, a Bremerton Police Department spokesman, says that Bremerton Mayor Patty Lent has been issued a citation for a collision that occurred at 12:16 p.m. on February 12 in the 3200 block of Wheaton Way.

“The Bremerton Police Department responded to and investigated the collision,” Lt. Fisher wrote in a press release. “Based upon all the available information, the investigating officer has issued a traffic citation to Mayor Lent for inattention to driving through the Bremerton Municipal Court.”

The Bremerton Police Department has closed out the collision investigation with the issuance of the citation, Lt. Fisher noted.
