The Memorial Day holiday will result in the closure of recycling and garbage facilities at most locations in Kitsap County, with the exception of the Olympic View Transfer Station. Bainbridge Disposal, Waste Management and the City of Poulsbo are on regular garbage service schedules for the holiday.

As a result of the holiday, the Hansville, Silverdale, and Olalla recycling and garbage facilities will be closed Monday, May 26, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. The Poulsbo Recycle Center, Bainbridge Transfer Station and Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility are always closed on Mondays. The Olympic View Transfer Station will be open.
