A 4.5 magnitude earthquake shook the Puget Sound early this morning. Many residents were rattled awake at 5:25 a.m. Friday when the earthquake occurred, centered near Kingston.
The quake was felt in Seattle and throughout much of Western Washington. People reported feeling it as far as 71 miles north in Victoria, British Columbia.
The earthquake had a hypocentral depth of 36 miles, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network. No damages have been reported.
