Plans are underway for the eighth Annual Olympic Kidney Support Run on Sunday, May 5 — a motorcycle run to raise money for the Olympic Kidney Support Association in Kitsap County.
Event creator and organizer Danny Hoffer, who suffers from Goodpasture syndrome, is a two-time kidney transplant recipient who has rode each year along his fellow riders in hopes to make someone’s life easier. The event began in 2006.
Registration for the event is between 8 and 10 a.m. at the Hi-Tide Tavern in Port Orchard. Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple.
Commemorative pins will be given to participants. The run will include stops at Rendezous Tavern in Port Orchard, Valley Tavern in Port Hadlock, Eagle Creek Saloon in Lilliwaup, JR’s Hideaway in Belfair and the final stop at the Bethel Saloon in Port Orchard, where live music and a barbecue are planned for participants.
