KINGSTON — An adult male suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center after his motorcycle apparently crashed on Hansville Road near its intersection with Old Hansville Road March 6.

North Kitsap Fire & Rescue crews were called to the scene at 4:08 p.m. and arrived in just over seven minutes, NKF&R spokeswoman Michele Laboda reported. Based on information received while en route, crews asked for an Airlift Northwest helicopter to provide rapid transport of the patient from a landing zone at Wolfle Elementary School to the regional trauma center at Harborview.

Hansville Road was closed while fire crews worked and remained closed while deputies from the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office conducted their investigation into the cause of the crash. Additional information about the incident will come from the Sheriff’s Office.
