A 36-year-old North Kitsap man was found dead at the side of the road, a victim of a hit and run incident.

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office is still in search of the vehicle and driver. At about 10:45 p.m. the body was found off of Clear Creek and Orweiler roads. Deputies determined the man had died of injuries from a hit and run.

Witnesses told deputies that they had seen a dark-colored sedan racing away from the scene, heading toward Poulsbo. Evidence indicates the suspect vehicle is a 2007-12 model Nissan Sentra.

As of 2 p.m. Aug. 11 Kitsap County Coroner Jeff Wallis released the name of the victim, Vincent Giamona of Poulsbo. A full autopsy of Giamona will be conducted later this week.
