KINGSTON — After more than four years as Nancy’s Green Garden, the Kingston shop is changing names.
The boutique-style florist is renamed Thistle Floral & Home.
The new name reflects the business better than Nancy’s Green Garden, because it is more than a garden supply store, according to a press release from Shannon Castillo.
The shop, located at Cleo’s landing in downtown Kingston, next to Highway 104 and West Kingston Road, offers classic English to exotic tropical floral design. The shop provides flowers by the stem, pre-made arrangements, and special orders that can be picked up or delivered locally.
“You can easily lose yourself in our shop searching through fun eclectic vintage finds and sniffing all of our candles and custom soap scents,” Castillo said.
Thistle Floral & Home is shares its building with d’Vine Wines and d’Lectibles and Diva de Beau.
Thistle Floral & Home will hold a ribbon cutting and toast Oct. 10 at p.m. A celebration will be held Oct. 11 with hors d’oeuvres, raffles and treats. Sweet Life Cakery will have samples from 1-3 p.m. D’Vine Wines will have music from 3-6 p.m. and wine tasting from 5-8 p.m.
Thistle Floral & Home is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. For more information: www.thistlefloralandhome.com
