KEYPORT – “Code Talkers” will be the focus of Naval Undersea Museum’s American Indian/Alaskan Native Heritage Month presentation Nov. 28, 11 a.m.

The event includes an overview of the Navajo Code Talkers prior to showing a 40-minute documentary, “In Search of History – Navajo Code Talkers.” The Code Talkers created the only unbroken code in modern military history and, according to the Navajo Code Talkers Foundation, the ancient language-based code is widely acknowledged to be instrumental in the success of every major engagement of the Pacific during World War II, saving countless lives and hastening the end of the war.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact NUWC Keyport’s Public Affairs Office at (360) 396-2699 or kypt_pao@navy.mil.
