KEYPORT — The Kitsap Public Health District has posted advisory signs on beaches near Keyport and in Nesika Bay after being notified by Naval Base Kitsap of an intermittent sewage discharge occurring at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport.

The cause of the leak, total spill volume and extent of the health risk is unknown at this time.

The Navy and the health district are investigating and will provide updated information when it becomes available.
