BREMERTON — Naval Base Kitsap’s will perform security exercises on Sinclair Inlet between Bremerton and Port Orchard involving noises and/or activity visible to the public from April 5-13.

Exercises are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 5 through 11 with additional exercises running from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., April 12 and 3 to 7 p.m., April 13.  The exercises will include the use of Navy vessels and blank ammunition.

A notice to mariners was issued and vessels are requested to remain clear of the activity.

The Navy routinely conducts security and training exercises to ensure readiness and verify response procedures.
