New Miss Kingston to be crowned July 18

KINGSTON — Miss Kingston 2008-2009 Catherine Pasculli’s reign as Miss Kingston 2008-2009 will end this month on July 18 when she passes her crown to another talented young woman.

The Miss Kingston Pageant takes place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, at the Kingston Middle School.

Five hopefuls will compete for the opportunity to represent Kingston.

Leigh Anne Bundang, the daughter of Rolando Bundang and Annie Bundang, will be a junior at Kingston High School in the fall. Her favorite subjects in school are math, history and English. Bundang enjoys tennis, watching movies and going to the beach. Her goals include attending college in Washington and becoming a nurse.

Tanya Hirsch is the daughter of Francie and Deren Hirsch. She will be a senior at Kingston High School in the fall. Her favorite subjects in school are English, art and Spanish. Hirsch enjoys stunting, swimming and reading. Her goals include attending a four-year university to explore careers and passions.

Jessica Mounts, the daughter of Michael and Deanna DeAscentiis, will be a senior at Kingston High School in the fall. Her favorite subjects in school are math, chemistry and digital design. Mounts also enjoys hiking, cheer and reading. Her goals include attending a four-year university to study medicine and continue on to medical school to become a family practice doctor.

Taryn Harris, the daughter of Jo & Dayle Harris, will be a junior at North Kitsap High School in the fall. Harris enjoys playing the piano, singing and canoeing. Her favorite school subjects are English, choir and science. She plans to attend a four-year university and then enter medical school and become a doctor, as well as travel on mission trips to help others around the world.

Corinne Sudduth is the daughter of Lynn Sudduth and Robert Sudduth. She will be a junior at Kingston High School in the fall. Her favorite subjects in school are French, English and history. Sudduth enjoys dancing, tennis and going to the beach. Her goals include attending a good college, such as Whitman, and majoring in French, as well as pursuing a career in journalism.
