New officers named for Northwest Multiple Listing Service

Real estate listing service selected a Poulsbo Realtor as a leader

Bobbie Petrone Chipman, principal managing broker at John L. Scott in Puyallup, has been elected chairman of the Northwest Multiple Listing Service board of directors. Other new officers are Darin Stenvers, vice chairman; Kenneth Anderson, treasurer; and Frank Wilson, secretary.

Immediate past chair Diedre Haines will continue on the Northwest MLS executive committee. She is the regional managing broker – Snohomish County at Coldwell Banker Bain in Lynnwood.

MLS members elected five new directors and re-elected Stenvers and Wilson for new three-year terms. The newly elected board members are Kevin Campbell, Michael Connolly, John Deely, Kathy Estey and Lena Maul.

Chipman, this year’s chairman, is one of two representatives for the Pierce/Thurston voting district. A licensee since 1992, she has been a managing broker since 1996, a position she currently holds at the Puyallup office of John L. Scott Real Estate. She is a past president of the Tacoma-Pierce County Association of Realtors® and an active member of Realtor associations at the state and national levels.

Vice chairman Stenvers, a Realtor® for more than two decades, is the office managing broker for John L. Scott, Inc. in Bellingham. He has held various leadership positions with the Whatcom County Association of Realtors, earning recognition as Realtor of the Year in 2006. The Bellingham native represents the North District comprising Island, San Juan, Skagit and Whatcom counties.

Ken Anderson, the 2013 treasurer for the MLS board, is president of Coldwell Banker Evergreen in Olympia, a second-generation family business. He has held several leadership positions with business, civic and charitable organizations in Thurston County, including chairing the Olympic Multiple Listing Service. The licensed attorney is one of two directors representing the Pierce/Thurston district.

Frank Wilson, the branch managing broker at the Poulsbo office of John L. Scott, is this year’s secretary of the Northwest MLS board. During his 20-plus years as a real estate professional he has served as president of the Kitsap County Association of Realtors and as a vice president with the state association. Wilson, whose experience also includes service in the U.S. Navy, represents the Kitsap County district.

The new MLS directors and their corporate titles and affiliations include:

Michael Connolly, designated broker/owner, Windermere Real Estate Central, in Kirkland;

John Deely, president and managing broker, Coldwell Banker Bain, in Seattle;

Kathy Estey, managing broker, John L. Scott, in Bellevue;

Lena Maul, managing broker/owner, Windermere Real Estate North, in Lynnwood.

Northwest Multiple Listing Service, owned by its member real estate firms, is the largest full-service MLS in the Northwest. Its membership includes more than 21,000 real estate brokers. The organization, based in Kirkland, Wash., currently serves 21 counties in Washington state. Directors are elected from 11 voting districts.
