Support beams are now in place for the new Southworth Drive bridge over Curley Creek. The bridge is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year unless work is delayed by weather, according to the Kitsap County Public Works Department’s online road report. The old bridge was torn down in August, and traffic on Southworth Drive from the ferry terminal to the Manchester area has had to take a detour on Banner Road.
