NKHS celebrates 1942 class reunion

Alumni from the North Kitsap High School Class of 1942 recently held their 70th class reunion.

POULSBO — Alumni from the North Kitsap High School Class of 1942 recently held their 70th class reunion.

Of the 30 classmates on the current roster, 22 gathered at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort to celebrate the occasion with lunch and visiting. Most live in the greater Seattle area, but several came from farther away. Wilma Johnson Bafaro came from Spokane, Gordon Young and wife Cam came from Vancouver, Wash., Berry Longmate Lindman came from Colville, Bill Wilcox and wife Margaret from Port Angeles, and John Hamers from Anacortes.

Others attending with guests or spouses were Jim Anderson, Harold Beebe, Dorothy Bjorgen Goldstein, Burton Boyd, Esther Carlson Blye, Vic Clough, Jack Danforth, Lillian Jodry Youngs, Wayne Kennedy, George Lehman, Doug Martin, Jeanne Nelson Loy, Edna Pahnila Perrault, Pat Reilly Turner, Sam Sotherland, Lorraine Torgeson, and June Virkelyst Breiland.

Guests also included the members of the classes of 1941, 1943, 1944 and 1945.
