There’s still no word on the fate of a Bremerton crab fisherman who was reported missing on Nov. 25.

Dean Harvey, 48, of Bremerton, was reported overdue in stormy weather. He and his brother Robert Romero took two fishing boats out that day. Harvey’s 18-foot boat was found by the U.S. Coast Guard on Nov. 26 but there was no sign of Harvey.

According to the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Puget Sound, who was also contacted on Monday, the search had been called off and they had no new information regarding Harvey’s whereabouts.

Romero reported that he and Harvey left Anacortes around 8:30 a.m. Nov. 25 in separate 18-foot fishing boats to go crabbing and agreed to return to Anacortes at 3:30 p.m.

Romero returned to Anacortes at 3:30 p.m. and waited for his brother to return until 4:30 p.m. and then called to report him as overdue.
